About Me
My professional training began in my native country of Mexico where I worked as an
Early Childhood Professional. After that, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in
Educational Psychology from Autonomous Metropolitan University in Mexico City. I am a certified Executive Coach by the University
of the Americas and I am an active member
of the International Coaching and Consulting Network. Also, I am currently taking a Biological Decoding course from Instituto Ángeles
Wolder in Barcelona, Spain.
Because I immigrated to this country and lived through the immigrant experience myself, I can connect with individuals and families struggling with cross-cultural issues, such as language and cultural barriers, and assist them in developing skills to manage life's challenges.
I specialize in working with the Latinx community in the western suburbs of Chicago. I offer my coaching services to the northern and western suburbs including but not limited to Park Ridge, Des Plaines, Glenview, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Skokie and West Chicago. I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. Along my career I have worked with clients dealing with an array of issues such as trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, domestic violence, mood disorders, life transitions, and relationship problems.
I am committed to diversity, multicultural competence, social advocacy and passionate about giving back to the community. I am the founder of the Hispanic Unity Group (HUG) since 2011. HUG is a community not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving Latinx families and which promotes self-improvement through education. I also lead a literacy program called ALFA which focuses on providing basic educational skills for adults in the Skokie area.
My favorite aspect of coaching is seeing a person as a whole human being, full of many different aspects in their life and helping them find their own balance while using the strengths they might not even realize they already have! To watch a person feel competent that they can achieve their goals is an amazing part of my job. I honor each person's unique background and strive to foster a non-judgmental coaching relationship with each of my clients full of hope, compassion and support.
My Approach
Affirmative and inclusive coaching
I use a holistic strength-based coaching approach. Clients are at the center of their own journey and we focus on the strengths and skills they already bring to the table. This way they can utilize their past experiences and current abilities to make progress towards the goals they are trying to achieve. My goal is to help clients to achieve their goals by empowering them throughout their journey.

I understand that searching for a coach can be especially challenging for clients who belong to marginalized groups due to racial minorities, cultural differences, physical or mental abilities, socioeconomics status or sexual orientation (LGBTQIA+). I practice affirmative and
inclusive coaching. My perspective is aimed at eliminating
stressful and excluding factors, supporting my clients
in building their own positive identity.

Regardless of their nationality, religion, gender, etc. I strive
to be inclusive of everyone equally and I strive to work in
a judgment-free environment where they feel safe and welcomed.
